Eliot Ness wouldn't have been out of tune as a regular at Ley Seca restaurant. Of course, Chicago should have changed for these latitudes, more precisely for the Roverano passage, on Avenida de Mayo 560, Montserrat neighborhood. The curious name of the food house identifies one of the traditional places in the passage, which connects the avenue with Hipólito Yrigoyen street. The ground floor is a gallery. The business of making personal cards and stamps, and locksmiths are often there.
Special mention should be made of the sporadic appearances in the building, in the 1930s, of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The author of The Little Prince worked for the National Air Company, which had its headquarters on the second floor, and would pick up the mail bags to act as an airmail, in his monoplane, between the Capital and Patagonia.
In its long history, the building conceived almost at the end of the 19th century - which was the first private house on the avenue - houses curious facts: according to one version, around 1920 a group of anarchists rented a room for their meetings in one of the basements , but they were evicted two months later for not paying their rent, which could be classified as a foreseeable ideological root position.In 1970, in one of their offices, Ricardo Balbín met with Perón's delegate, Jorge Daniel Paladino , to launch the alliance called La Hora del Pueblo.

This office building was built at the beginning of the 20th century, in 1918 by Francisco Roverano, with all the luxury of the time and with materials imported from Europe. It replaced a previous one that dated from 1878 - prior to the opening of Avenida de Mayo in 1898 -. At the time, it only had two floors that were demolished to erect this nine-story, two-basement construction that exists now.
