Of note is the panel next to the House of José Sousa (current headquarters of the EPRAL pole of Estremoz), evocative of the implantation of the Portuguese Republic, and that it was placed in that place, according to oral report of a relative of that one, by José Lourenço Marques Crespo Mayor of Estremoz between 1923 and 1926) as a provocation against the monarchist José Sousa.

The Portuguese sidewalk has a paradigmatic example in Estremoz, plus the fact that it is all made of marble, a characteristic common to the entire Marble Zone, greatly enhancing this important manifestation of Portuguese cultural heritage. The artistically most interesting zones are located throughout the lower part of the city, all of which have already been executed during the 20th century.
