The Museum of the City of Buenos Aires was created in 1968. It is currently installed in a complex made up of buildings belonging to different periods, located in the Monserrat neighborhood (previously, Catedral al Sur).
It is part of the Historic Center of the City; Among its activities is the organization in Plaza Dorrego (Humberto I and Defensa, in the San Telmo neighborhood) of the San Pedro Telmo Fair. In Plazoleta San Francisco, in Alsina and Defensa, it holds the Arts Fair on Fridays and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. And it organizes temporary fairs, such as the Old Book, April, Metals and Clothing Fairs.
Schedule:
Monday to Sunday and holidays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Library: specialized in city issues. Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

General: 1. Monday and Wednesday, free.
